Books, books, everywhere

I like books. Specially, if are novels. I don’t remeber my childhood without a book. My mother gave to me a book with stories about The Flintstones, with a lot of pictures. I relieve that it was my first book.
I think I like books because it can transport you to another realities. With a book, you can travel around the World and go to old times just in a minute.
My favourite book is called “My orange-lime plant” (Mi planta de naranja-lima”), and it was wrote by José Mauro de Vasconcellos, a brazilian author. The plot is about a child who is suffering a lot because he noticed about adult’s life too early.
My fave author is Hernan Rivera Letelier. He’s Chilean and he always write about Chilean north, the dessert and “salitreras” (the places where working-class extracted a mineral called salitre). I love to read about life in that places, the people, the traditions and else.

Brazil ♬

Hi everyone! Today, I'm going to tell you about a beautiful place called Brazil. Although I was here around 4 years ago, I'd like to come back.
I love this country by a lot of reasons. I like it huge variety of landscapes, and animals. You can find a warm beach there and a humid jungle too!
Also, I admire its people, because they have lived a loto f problems as society, but they’re always happy. They dance and sing no caring about sadness. In Chile, I think we’re very depressive and pessimistic about our problems. We must to be optimistic! And live a little bit more our lives!

I'd like to visit more cities, because I just was in Salvador. I`d like to go to Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Florianápolis, Rio de Janeiro...! I would like to swim in the sea, visit restaurants, see the carnaval, drink caipirinha, take a lot of photos, walk around the favelas...

I'd like to live a little time there because I want to learn portuguese. And I think that if I want to learn a language perfectly, I must live a couple of months in the original country.
See you soon :D

Studying in summer

Hi everyone!
This year, although the strike, it was a very important year in my life. I learnt a lot about not academic stuff, I mean, things like friends, life, experiences, and others.
But now, I'm starting my second term. And I like that. I hope that this term will be good for me, because I would like to know more about my carrer, sociology.
I'm taking subjects like Latin American History, Estadistics, Metodology II, Social Psicology, Philosophy and English IV. My favorite subject, by now, is Latin American History. I understand everything!
I don't feel bad studying in summer. The most terrible for me it's travel at special weekends, as christmas and new year, because my family is in Linares and tickets run out quickly. In addition to, I'll be there for a few days, because I have clases. That's a little bit sad.

Well, see you soon in internet!

Graciela.
